The 2" extender allows the airway buffing wheel to set out further from the grinder, providing a better angle for most applications.  5/8"³ -11 female thread fits 5/8"³ "“ 11 arbor spindle. 5/8"³ "“ 11 male thread to fit 5/8"³ arbor hole on airway buffing wheels.
