NOTE:
In the photo, the 4-5/8" clearance is designed to fit over the center section of the original hood trim. It mounts on top, similar to the example shown, although our version has a different shape. The piece extends 5/8" above the hood surface.
The kit includes six mounting studs, each with washers and nylon-insert lock nuts. Do not overtighten"”the studs can break if too much force is applied. The nylon ring inside each nut helps prevents loosening. Once the piece is flush with the hood and you feel resistance while tightening, stop immediately.
